Leadership Giving:

Every community has its leaders - that special group of people who, with a capacity to care and without hesitation, accept the challenge and set the pace, making their community a better place. As pillars of the community, they have a conscience, a concern, and a desire to care for all citizens.

For over 130 years community leaders from all walks of life have given financial support, time and energy to United Fund. These volunteer efforts have made our community more compassionate, caring, and truly a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Membership in the Pillar Society ($1,000 or more annually) is a true reflection of your personal commitment to bettering the lives of others in our community. The single mother at Miriam House who works toward self-sufficiency and a better life for her children, the 10 year olds who develop lifelong leadership skills through scouting programs, the seniors that have access to support services – all receive help that makes a difference because of this level of generosity.

Commitment to the community demonstrated by a gift at the Pillars level sets an example of caring that others will emulate. This year alone, leadership giving comprised 14% of the entire annual campaign

The principal benefit of membership in the Pillars Society is the knowledge that your gift will help continue United Fund's tradition of caring. Additional benefits include:

· Impact - The Pillars Society plays a central role in enabling United Fund to make positive changes, create meaningful results and provide financial support for community solutions.
