Your gift to United Fund helps more people in more ways than any single agency can. Your donation is combined with those of your co-workers, friends and neighbors, resulting in a collective community fund with the power to make a significant impact:
· Matching Reach Our Youth volunteer mentors with 150 at-risk youth in need of good role models and an extra friend to share life's experiences.
· Providing direct assistance for medication and special equipment through the Society for Medically Handicapped and helping 1,232 patients without a doctor receive needed medical services at the Huron County General Health District's Family Medical Clinic.
· Helping Senior Enrichment Services provide 499 Seniors with transportation to doctors, groceries and other community resources.
Puzzled by how much to give?
That's a personal decision, based on your own resources, obligations and priorities. The most important thing to know is that no amount is too small. Every penny donated to United Fund helps make a difference. From the $10 donation courtesy of the neighborhood paper boy to our first ever $10,000 individual contribution, your gift is an investment in our community. Our minimum recommended gift for a working individual is $52 per year, which works out to just $1.00 per week.
Plus, with the ease of payroll deduction, you can help others and make our community a better place to come home to without the financial challenge of a one-time donation.
